Uzr aane mein bhi hai

A beautiful ghazal by Daagh Dehlvi in Farida Khanum's voice.

*Uzr aane mein bhi hai aur bulaate bhi nahin
*Baais-e-tark-e-mulaaqat bataate bhi nahin

Kya kaha phir to kaho hum nahin sunte teri
Nahin sunte to hum aison ko sunaate bhi nahin

Khoob parda hai ke *chilman se lagen baithe hein
Saaf chupte bhi nahin saamne aate bhi nahin

Ho chuka tark-e-taalluk to *jafaayen kyon hon
Jinko matlab nahin rehta vo sataate bhi nahin

*Ziist se tang ho ae 'Daagh' to jeete kyon ho
Jaan pyaari bhi nahin, jaan se jaate bhi nahin

-Daagh Dehlvi (1831-1905)
